Peaslake Village Fair
Enjoy a slice of village life and all the fun of the fair at this year’s Peaslake Village Fair. Taking place in the picturesque village of Peaslake at the heart of the Surrey Hills on Bank Holiday Monday 26 August, the event is free to attend and runs from 1pm to 4.30pm.
Shere Hill Climb
The Shere Hill Climb is now an established part of the motoring social calendar. From a tentative beginning seven years ago there are now 180 cars running the hill. From the most historic and exotic to the joyfully mundane. From those that you had forgotten existed to those that you never knew were out there in the first place. Couple this with the motoring stands and stalls and family entertainment. A happy day at the end of the summer in the beautiful Surrey hills with views to die for. See www.sherehillclimb.co.uk to buy tickets.
Charity Pop-up Gallery with Garden
The Charity Pop-Up Gallery with Garden is a non-profit venture in Shere that celebrates the creativity of artist John Rich, whilst raising awareness and funds for nature conservation and improved mental health.
From July to September 2019, the Feeling & Matter exhibition will support WWF-UK and Oakleaf and display the diverse creative output of the English painter, sculptor, picture restorer, writer, husband and father, John Rich.
Run by volunteers from Voluntary Action South West Surrey and the family of John Rich who have produced and curated the Feeling & Matter exhibition. Supported by Surrey County Council Members’ Community Allocation, Careprint, Treacle Media and Albury Organic Vineyard, this free exhibition is open at weekends in July, August & September, from 12noon to 6pm and at other times by appointment by emailing email@example.com
