A wonderful venue for parties, meetings, functions and classes, Tanyard Hall is a beautifully renovated building which was originally a 15th Century Hall House. It is owned by the Parish Council and is available for hire for functions, meetings, classes etc. The beamed interior creates a wonderful atmosphere for people looking for a venue with a more homely feel and is especially ideal for children’s parties or gatherings of friends or family.
Maximum numbers – upstairs room 60 people, downstairs room 50 people.

Holmbury St Mary Hall is a spacious, flexible and friendly venue, excellent for a wide range of events including parties, weddings, sporting activities, fundraisers and meetings. Located near the centre of Holmbury St Mary and at the edge of the Hurtwood Forest, the Village Hall is set within a tranquil glade.

The layout of the hall includes a large stage, main hall area with double French doors which open out onto a large terrace, kitchen, smaller rooms and toilets.

Originally the Tannery Club, occupying just the house “Runnymede”, with a live-in steward, probably founded between WWI and WWII, it became Gomshall Village Club after WWII.
The Club has been enlarged twice since then, the present buildings existing since 1977. There is a large bar area, as well as a snooker room with two full size tables, a large function room (available to hire to members only) with bar, a committee room and a paved outdoor area with sheltered seating and a barbecue facility.

Regular events are held and we welcome new members.

Set in the centre of the village, close to the free public car park and bus stop, Shere Village Hall is a perfect location for event. Local amenities include the Co-op, the children’s play area and the Recreation Ground.
The Hall is comprehensively equipped, with both generous and modern, accessible, all age, toilet facilities and a well fitted out kitchen. It’s a popular venue for village activities including children’s parties, meetings of local societies, the village cinema, Pilates and indoor sporting activities. Enquiries welcome.

The Shere Library Meeting Room, otherwise known as the the Jubilee Room is available to hire, when not in use by the library or school. It is the ideal venue for holding your small meeting or gathering.

Perfect for committee meetings, or fundraising meetings.

The Hall was built in 1923 and is regularly used by local groups and organisations. If you have a proposal for a new village community venture, please get in touch.
The hall is available for private hire for any occasion, with 160sq meters of floor, an additional raised stage and its own kitchen.
It can seat 150 people theatre style, or 120 seated at tables.

The Pound is a delightful walled area between the Old Fire Station and the stream.

It can be hired out for a nominal fee for all kinds of events such as Shere Open Gardens.
