Oppose the Development of Newlands Corner!

Shere Parish Council has continually opposed the proposal to develop Newlands Corner, both the introduction of parking charge machines and the commercialisation of the area.

Development of this beauty spot would lead to a loss of natural character, wildlife and amenity for local residents and visitors. It is also concerned about displacement parking into Shere.

The Parish Council maintains that the only works necessary are improvements to the public toilet facilities.
